What are the system requirements for the courses?

Mortgage Educators and Compliance courses can run on any of several different hardware and software platforms. We strongly recommend using a desktop or a laptop computer to complete any of our courses. Our courses are not officially supported for phones, tablets, and other similar mobile devices per NMLS regulation, however many users have been able to run the course on more recent phones and tablets without any issues. We do not support Chromebooks, however Chromebook pro's with more recent hardware typically will run the course without an issue. Tablets with a keyboard and camera are supported for webinar classes.

The following are minimum recommendations for hardware, software, and network connectivity.

Software Requirements

• Web browser:
  • Google Chrome 64 or newer
  • Mozilla Firefox 52 or newer
  • Safari 10 or newer (Mac)

Network Connectivity Requirements

All systems require an Internet connection of 25 Mbps or faster (Broadband/DSL/Fiber/etc).

Operating System Requirements

• Windows 10 or 11
  • 2 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 8 gigabyte (GB) RAM
  • DirectX 10 graphics device with WDDM 1.1 or higher driver
  • Sound card (your motherboard may have one built in) and speakers/headphones
  • Screen resolution 1024x768 or better and 65,000 colors or more

• Macintosh OS X 10.11.6 "OS X El Capitan" or newer
  • 2 gigahertz (GHz) x86-64 CPU or faster
  • 8 GB RAM or more
  • Speakers/headphones (sound chip is built-in)
  • 1024x768 Screen resolution or better and 65,000 colors or more

• Linux
  • 2 gigahertz (GHz) or faster 32-bit (x86) or 64-bit (x64) processor
  • 8 gigabyte (GB) RAM
  • Speakers / Headphones
  • 1024x168 Screen resolution or better and 65,000 colors or more
